Black holes _______ light and are invisible to our eyes. A. emit B. absorb C. radiate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

radiate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wanna explain? :]

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

absorb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am getting mixed signals. hmm >:P

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

they swallow it

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

black holes swallow everything!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They don't radiate light, or they wouldn't be black.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mhmmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea sure actually when black hole absorbs then at that time the particles get rubbed against each other and at that time they release mega gamma rays ...highest energy band it is because they get rubbed very fast near to light

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The idea is that they are so dense that their gravity is like... retardedly high. Nothing can escape. Not even light. So we can't see them. We just see the empty spot in the sky where no gravity reaches us from.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and this is how some active black holes are detected

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

GOOD STUFF EVERYONE! Medals!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wowsahhhhhhh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but you can detect black holes even with planetary motion around it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

planetary for stars and all celestial bodies

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but smoothmath and bahrom are right too ...you better right absorbs because i don't think so they would expect of you this deeper explanation ...you are in school right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahaha yes i'm in school. high school.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah you write absorbs if they say it wrong then give my answer with explanation
