Are you really longer when you lie down than while standing? Why is that exactly?

yep, you indeed are, and the reason is quite simple, our body is made of meat, bone and joints, in witch meat and joints are flexible, so when we stand up, our weight will cause pressure and the reason will be the fact that you've seen in prof's lecture. and obviously in lying condition the pressure is not in same direction as before so, it will not cause shortening. I hope you got your answer

hello again, I wasn't here fore a long time. see I kind of answered your question in my previous post. But still, I'll explain it again. see rod is also made of some kind of material and it will have some flexibility not like human and flesh but still there is some thing. It's density can change through presser. And the presser surface for a rod are also differ in it's two position. So you see that the difference for a rod in it's two condition is very little, but for human it's more. I hope you catch the idea.
