A mini license plate for a toy car must consist of a one digit odd number followed by two letters. Each letter must be a J or K. Repetition of letters is permitted. Use the counting principle to determine the number of points in the sample space. Construct a tree diagram to represent this. List the sample space. Determine the exact probability of creating a mini license plate with a J. Give solution exactly in reduced fraction form.

one odd digit number presumably means 1,3,5, 7, 9 after that is j or k. so it can be jj, kj, kk, jk therefore by the "counting principle" you have 5 times 4 = 20 possibilities
Then from the tree diagram the last parts answer would be 15/20=3/4 (J)
Thanks
yes three - fourths have a j
