Given these sets: A = {1, 2, 3, 4} B = {3, 4, 5, 6, 7} C = {3, 5, 7, 9} List the elements of this set A ∩ (BC) Do not skip to the answer. Show your work, step by step

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

What's in between the B and C? Is it a U or is it a ∩ ?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

B ∩ C = set of all things common to B and C = {3,5,7} B ∩ C = {3,5,7} A ∩ (B ∩ C) = sets of all things common to A and {3,5,7} = {3} So A ∩ (B ∩ C) = {3}
