When i look on the Eyepiece of the microscope with BOTH EYES OPEN. Tilt the mirror and i see bright circle of light. What do you call this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um i think you are seeing the light that is shone though the specimen im talking about the light source

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wouldnt this be called the reflection? :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its just the brain joining up both images its seeing from both eyes and creating a composite image

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and why would a composite image have a whole imaginary circle of light?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That would be the lightbulb. You need to focus to see things under the microscope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what i was thinking ... not a imaginary circle of light ...
