2. A spring of force constant 5000 N/m is compressed 0.1 m and a 1.0-kg block is placed against it. If the coefficient of friction is 0.1, how far will the block go up the plane? theta=35 degrees

I assume the spring and block are on the ramp and there is no travel in between. You will need to use conservation of energy. You will need to relate the distance the block travels up the ramp (used to find energy lost from the system as friction) to the actual height it rises (used for calculating final gravitational potential energy).
