Simplify: (4a^3b^5)^2 Do I distribute the 2 to the 4 along with the other variables?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[16a^6b^{10}\]

OpenStudy (aroub):

4(^2) a^3+2 b^5+2 16 a^5 b^7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You multiply, not add the exponents aroub. At least for distribution, if it was x^4(times)x^3, then you add the exponents and it would be x^7, but you don't do that for distribution. Just so you know, :)

OpenStudy (aroub):

oh i thought u add the exponents! well thankk you epaema!!!! :D

No problemo :)
