how to judge that two equations are perp..

there is a simple formula for that:

\[\Large m_1 * m_2 = -1\]

this means that the PRODUCT of both slopes must be equal to -1.

now.. lets insert the values.

\[\Large m_1 * m_2 = -1\]

\[9 * -\frac{1}{2} = -1\]

\[-\frac{9}{2}\]

now as we get this answer which is not equal to -1, so this means that these arent parallel.
