can someone help me with this please but dont give me the answer show me how to do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

Ok the top row represents the x-coordinates and the bottom row the y-coordinates. If you need to shift up/down then add/subtract only numbers in bottom row. If you need to shift left/right then add/subtract only numbers in top row.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i will try and get back 2 u and tell if what i got

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

sounds good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok 4 number 1 i got -4,3,1 9,12,-5

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

perfect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok 4 number 2 i got 4,-3,7 4,9,-7

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

ok up means add, down means subtract right means add, left means subtract think of a graph , on the axis the x,y values increase as you go up and to the right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i did that one wrong?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

yes but only because you added instead of subtracted

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

try the 3rd one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3,11,9,4 3,3,12,9

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

yep except i got 3,4,12,9 on bottom

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so how do i do number 2

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

subtract instead of add. think of where you are moving the triangle on a graph. Ask yourself, should the coordinates get bigger or smaller? since you are moving down and to the left. subtract 3 on top, subtract 2 on bottom

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got -2,-9,-1 0,5,-11

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

awesome, check your signs though i get -2,-9,1 for top row.
