Which of the following is a solution to the inequality below? -6x2 + 20x - 17 > y A. (0,0) B. (2,-2) C. (1,5) D. (5,2) when i plug it in it seems wrong..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be B ? or no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's b

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

When you plug in (2,-2), you're plugging in x=2 and y = -2 to get -6x^2+20x-17 > y -6(2)^2+20(2)-17 > -2 -6(4)+20(2)-17 > -2 -24+40-17 > -2 -1 > -2 which is true So you are correct.

oh okay so i was plugging it in right , thanxx jim for the breakdown :)
