So I am having to make due. I gotta do a lab...but i got none of the materials to do it! So i need help. BAD. http://roads.advancedacademics.com/ContentServer/Content/RoadsSection/280075/resources/docs/PSB_7.C_ElectromagnetLab.pdf I need help on observations for right now. I put this so far I noticed that the thicker the wire the weaker the electromagnet was...As for the varying of the number of coils... Because I slightly know this is true. However I don't know anything after the "..." haha anyone wanna pwease help? :(
Ivy...I want to help you....I really do....but I don't have any of the materials to help you either...
I appreciate the fact that u want to hero though. makes this stress easier.
I think it makes sense that the electromagnet would get weaker if you only increase the thickness of the coil without increasing the source power as well. You have to increase proportionally in order to maintain the same level of strength.
Exactly. But I did not know what to put about varying the amount of coils.
Smaller electronic components require smaller wiring. Larger electronic components require larger wiring. If you used smaller wiring on larger components that require larger wiring, nothing would work...the connection would be weak. You might even burn some stuff out.
There's a lot of info online about electromagnetism. There's one website dedicated to electromagnetism....a great resource: 101science.com
You can read all about it, and they have all of the NEETS Modules as well.
thanks!
