i have a statistic question: H0 : µ ≥ 18 , H1 : µ < 18 & Reject H0 when : 〖x ̅〗_16< 15.5 and x is normal,what is the σ???

OpenStudy (amistre64):

sounds to be asking to find the zscore; but its hard to read the problem h0 should only be an equality as i recall h1 reflects the claim or negates h0. for example, spose the claim is "cars get greater than 16 mph". h0=16; h1 > 16, and it would invoke a right tailed looking graph

OpenStudy (amistre64):

when operating with the "u", we have a few formulas that may help us algebra our way to o~
