the number of kilograms W of water in a human body varies directly as the mass of the body. A 96 kg person contains 64 kg of water. How many kilograms are in a 48kg person? Please explain every step of it thank you

Just look what percentage of the body the water is. Here you got 64kg of 96kg which means. 64/96 = 2/3 (or in percent 0,66666667) If you now know that 2/3 of the body are water just multiply the 48kg with 2/3 and you get the answer.
