OpenStudy (sasogeek):

my graphing calculator gives no pictorial solution to (x-1)^2+(y+2)^2=1. however, it gives me this solution x=sqrt(-4(y+2)^2+4)/2+1

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you might need to adjust the window view .... if its a ti83 or so, use zoom fit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your graphing calcululator can only graph a function, (x-1)^2+(y+2)^2=1. is not at function

OpenStudy (amistre64):

or now that i see it right; it prolly only operates on functions ...like imran beat me to :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it only graph the top half, if you want to plot the second half, plot second function with -sqrt(-4(y+2)^2+4)/2+1

OpenStudy (amistre64):

to see it as a circle; you would have to .... yeah, that way

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

hmmmm thanks :) i'll check
