What is the formula to convert Radian to Degrees?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

180/pi

OpenStudy (amistre64):

its not a formula so much as an equality 2pi = 360 degrees; so we can use this ration to convert with

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 Radian=180 degree/pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you

OpenStudy (amistre64):

to remember how to use it; I recall that degrees need a pi, so stick the pi on top

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooo That should help thanks

myininaya (myininaya):

so x radians=x*180 degree/pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just took a Geometry class and I dont remember much of the trig stuff

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And it works both ways! radians to degrees = 180 degrees divided by 1 pi radian degrees to radians = 1pi divided by 180 degrees.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

thats to bad, since trig is 98% memorization :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

crap

myininaya (myininaya):

its (100-2)% memory !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All I remember is rotating angles and sin cos tan and cot
