solve each system by graphing. y = x -3 x - 2y = 4

OpenStudy (vijay):

2 and -1

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

graph both, they will insersect at (2, -1)

Ok, the first equation should be simple to graph. For every 1 increase of Y, X will decrease by three. Plot that. For the next equation I would rearrange to make plotting easier. It rearranges to 2Y=X-4. So for every 2 increase of Y, X will decrease by four. Plot this. Where the two intersect is the answer. (2,-1) or X=2, Y=-1
