After failing to do it the normal way, I checked Wolfram alpha. It returns -3.77378, 1.33964, 5.93414, which means that you'd have to use quite complex formulae to get the answers.

I also felt that it was beyond the capability of a 14 year old studying in IXth standard (Indian schooling system).......
Thought should just check with others. My tired brain might have overlooked some simple trick...!!
