what is mass and weight

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mass is an inertial property of an object dealing with the amount of matter, or stuff, it is made up of. An object will have the same mass at any location. Weight is a measure of the amount of gravitational force, or attraction to another object, an object is experiencing. An object's weight will change depending on its location relative to other objects. For example, a person's weight on the moon will be approximately 1/6th of what they weigh on the Earth. However, the person would have the same mass on the moon or the Earth.
