m=-5/6. How do i check if this is right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we need more information

OpenStudy (aroub):

m is the slope , can u post the question first???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Uh... i had to find the slope of (-2,4) and (4,-1).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, well if m is the slope, then you should be able to get from one point to the other by going down 5 in y, and up 6 in x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

m is the slope (rise over run) the change in y over the change in x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know that.. but did i do it right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So starting at (-2,4) you go up 6 in x and down 5 in y and you are at (4,-1) which is your second point. So yes, that's correct.

OpenStudy (aroub):

yes! :)

Yay! Thanks.(:
