what does this phrase means "my grammar lessons didn't stick too well"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It means that the person didn't remember much about what he learned in the grammar lessons. It's more of a joke really, a grammar lesson can't actually "stick" to anything.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohkay, so i still didn't get this joke

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm well it's like having someone admit that they have bad grammar. (Haha maybe that makes things clearer?)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

retaining what you have been taught is sometimes referred to as "sticking in you mind"...... so, here "didn't stick too well" means that they did not register too deeply and hence have not been retained too well........

it means all it did was slide off of the protective coating on your brain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hahaha Thank you I got it.
