can u give me an example of factoring by grouping(perfect square trinomial)

hero (hero):

What the.....I just showed you....?

hero (hero):

You didn't like my way or something?

hero (hero):

If you need me to clarify anything, please let me know.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of course i do

hero (hero):

So why the double-post?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now i'm askin for factoring by grouping. so the one u showed me is the one that factors in grouping?

hero (hero):

Yes

hero (hero):

The other way just skips steps and goes from : x^2+6x+9 to (x+3)(x+3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what is the difference between "factoring by grouping( prefect square trinomial)" and perfect square trinomial??

hero (hero):

There really isn't much difference...except that factoring by grouping involves more steps, and the steps are algebraic....however, factoring perfect square trinomials without grouping involves explaining the steps in words mostly

hero (hero):

I say that assuming that this is an assignment you're working on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah. and its givin me headache! >:/
