In this problem it would be helpful to break up the term into it's separate factors and then solve. \[\sqrt{-1 *25*5*x^4*y^2*y}\] now you can see which terms can come out from underneath the radical since they are only attached by multiplication it is easy to pull them out. Your final answer should be \[5x^2yi \sqrt{5y}\] *** If you aren't using imaginary numbers then the negative would just have to stay under the radical ( sqrt (-5y))
