how do you solve slope questions?

OpenStudy (angela210793):

it depends

OpenStudy (amistre64):

usually with a lean to the right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol amis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know the formula and everything but i can't seem to solve it

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if you have to point: (x,y) and (Px,Py) , you can determine the slope by subtracting the points like this: ( x, y ) -(Px,Py) ------- (x-Px,y-Py) ; then slope = y/x or: (y-Py)/(x-Px)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if you have something specific we can work with; it might be useful
