Question

I feel so helpless I really want to learn all of this but I can't get passed PS0!!!! Can anyone help me?

Don't worry - lots of people have trouble with PS0 and PS1 is hard too if you have never done programming before. If you are determined you will get through and move forward. We will help you :)

Please, though, in future try to be more specific. What have you done, and what happened.

Have you watched lecture 2? If you are struggling, watch it first.

Hi gottice80! I don't have an answer for you, but I did want to let you know that I'm in the same boat, so you're not alone. :) I'm on ps0 as well, and I'm stuck right now with downloading Python - problems before I even begin! ::sigh::

yeah, I hate setting anything up :) once it is set up you can just focus on the programming :) have you done it yet? I prefer 2.7 version, because the lectures and most applications etc surrounding Python are still using version 2. But if you use 3 people can help with the differences.

Again, where are you stuck? It's hard to help if you are just guessing at what issue you are having.

I wouldn't recommend using python 3. Mainly because you get problems at assignement 3 or 4 when you have to import txt. files, which simply doesn't work (yet) in python 3 with the predefined code you are given. For a beginner, it isn't much difference changing from 2 to 3 or vice versa, you only use a few paranthesis less and type "raw_input" instead of "Input".
To be honest, I actaully like the syntax of python 2 better :P
