Graph the system of inequalities x+3y< or equal to 9, 3x+y< or equal to 9, x> or equal to 0 y> or equal to 0

OpenStudy (mathsolver):

its quite dificult without a graph, but because of the last two you know you will only be in the positive quartile. for the first two, just put in random values for x and y (i normally start with 0) and see what comes out. remember treat inequalites as equations untill the very last step

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did x+3y< or equal to 9 0+3y< or equal to 9 and came out with y< or equal to 3 is that right so far?

OpenStudy (mathsolver):

yep, when inputting 0 for x :)

OpenStudy (mathsolver):

now input 0 for y
