multiply both sides by 4(3x + 4)... that gives 24(3+x) = 1
then distribute the 24 using foil...
subtract 72 from both sides...
divide by 24

I first used the distributive property on the 4(3+x)
Multiply (12+4x) with 6
72+24x>1
Subtract 72 from both sides
24x > -71
Divide by 24
x > -2 23/24
That should be the answer :)
