Why is the portion of a word that is spelled a-s-s in a question being replaced with "retrice"? I can understand the word on its own, but words like passing and class are getting changed, it's ridiculous!

Why is the portion of a word that is spelled a-s-s  in a question being replaced with "retrice"? I can understand the word on its own, but words like passing and class are getting changed, it's ridiculous!

I think they're working on it :)
I don't get why "retrice" though- I looked it up and it was just a bird's tailfeathers (essentially).
I kind of thought that they'd come up with a really scientific word for butt.

The idea was inoffensive and mildly ridiculous words replacing offensive words.

And yeah, we're working on it. Next push will include a fix that should make the filter much more accurate.

Should be less of a problem now, though the actual cuss words now get through at times.
