What are the steps to solve: v+5v=-11 Or the first step at least....

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

add like terms.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

6v = -11

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Cross multipply.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

v = -11/6 and thts the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you can add v+5v? Because of the invisible one with v?

OpenStudy (ineedhelpnow):

there is an invisible 1 in front of the v 1v+5v=-11 you then want to combine like terms 6v=-11 then divide both sides by 6 to isolate v

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

right*
