Solve –3x2 – 4x – 4 = 0 x= 2 +_ 4i SQRT 2 / 3 x= 2+_ 2i SQRT 2 / 3 x= -2 +_ 2i SQRT 2 / 3 x= -2+_ 4i SQRT 2 / 3

I would first pull a -1 out it and then divide to leave it all positive.. make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be choice a or b?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

opps... this is where I start: (-1){(3x^2)+4x+4} = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then: (3x^2)+4x+4 = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now with quadratic: -4 +-root(-32) all over 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you get to... -4 +- (i)root(32) all over 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-4+-(i)root(4*4*3) all over 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-4+-(4i)root(2) all over 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2+-(2i)root(2) all over 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

awesome thanks
