I don't have the time now but I'll try to be back to answer this in a better way, but you'll have to find the longest path in which the electrons can oscillate through the conjugated bonds ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conjugated_system) and then use the method. Find the highest occupied energy level and the lowest unoccupied energy level, the gap between the two corresponds to the energy of the resonant radiation.
