OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it possible for parents with blood type AB and O to have a daughter with the blood type A?

OpenStudy (aroub):

umm.. yea i guess well sometimes not only from the parents maybe one of ur relatives has a blood type A u can have too!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes it is possible... There is a 50% chance that the daughter has blood type A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i agree with aroub in my family no one has A blood aroub but i hav coz my grand ma has A blood group. this shows dat if ur parent is has blood group is nt in u it dosent mean dat it is nt present it is present but in recessive form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes the daughter has the possibilities of A,B,O,AB types

OpenStudy (anonymous):

AB blood group genotype --->AB (both expressed) O blood group genotype ---->ii (both not expressed) In , this case, parents with blood type AB and O, daughter can have only 2 possible groups---> either A or B The genotype will be Ai ----> A blood group & The 2nd genotype will be Bi ----> B blood group. @akaufmanb has given the right answer IE: 50% chance no other possibilities.........correct me with reference, if I am wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in genetics you can never be sure that a thing won't happen. anything that has a chance of happening can happen. so it is quite possible that the daughter can have A type blood
