What are the main differences between screenwriting and playwriting?

I am far from an expert, but I would think the main difference is that playwriting is done with the forethought that the production will be acted out on a stage, where as screenwriting focuses on writing for film/tv productions. There would certainly be different notes made as to stage ques or camera ques etc.

Right ( i think)- a screenwriter can write something that flips between two different scenes or zoom up in a person's face or smash cars together; a playwriter is a bit more restricted.
