In Macbeth, are the witches solely at blame for Macbeth's predicament?..
no not exactly, they ust predicted the predicament, while macbeth and his wife had actually made the choices that caused his fall, but the witches did help him fall a bit... hope that helps
Ohok.....its a 20 mark question though.I'll improvise on this....thanx :D

Double, double, toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble!
this aint hary potter
but for the sake of it... SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES!!!! :D
Maybe Macbeths woes have a multitude of explanations from supernatural power of Witches curse to his and his Mrs own meglamanical power grabbing attitudes?
Just pinning on one factor seems a bit niave to me.
I like the part where Lady Macbeth wants to kill everything and then grow man parts. "Unsex me now!" But regarding your question, I do agree that it shouldn't be blamed solely on the witches as Macbeth has his flaws and lady Macbeth is just scary.
