Describe the graphs of the functions f(x) = 2^x – 3 and g(x) = –2^x – 3. Compare and contrast the domain and range of f(x) and g(x).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Both are graphs of exponential functions. 2^x - 3 has a domain of R (all real numbers) and a range of -3 to infinity is the second function (-2)^x - 3 or -(2^x) -3?

thanks!

and the 2nd one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-2)^x-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The domain for the second one is also R (all real numbers) the range for the second one is interesting. http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%28-2%29^x-3
