I have my own way of solving these. It can be considered elimination method...but

OpenStudy (anonymous):

PreeteBad... Do you have pencil and paper?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply 1st equation by 3 and 2nd equation by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the solution is r=2 and s=9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have a snap shot coming your way! lol

hero (hero):

s = s (12+3r)/2 = (31-2r)/3 3(12+3r) = 2(31-2s) 36+9r = 62 - 4r 13r = 26 r = 2

hero (hero):

s = 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the solution is 9?

hero (hero):

That's the same thing I got. I eliminated the s variable at the very beginning

hero (hero):

The solution is (2,9)
