can someone help me with the related rates? questions: the radius of the base of a right circular is decreasing at the rate of 4cm/min,and the height is increasing at the rate of 6cm/min. At what rate is the volume changing when the height is 12cm and the radius is 6cm?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

circular what?????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right circular means cone

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any question bellz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dv/dt=(dv/dr)x(dr/dt) i used chain rule

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope. the ans given is -120 π cm^3/min hint: volume of cone = 1/3 π r^2 h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i knw

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this question is really a tough one
