The circle x2 +y2 -2ax = 0 is tangent to the y axis at the origin.

Does that means that the circlel crosses the origen?? (English is not my native language)

yeah sorry. but according to the problem does the circle touches the origin (0,0) coz it says that  "is tangent to the y axis at the origin"

center is at (a,0)  with a radius a so therefore it hits the "y" once every 2pi rotation im sure myini did this already
