did parsis worship fire
Parsis are members of the zoroastrianism religion, one of the "religions of the book" according to Islam, along with Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. One of the main features of Zoroastrianism is its worship of fire
Worshiping fire isn't that stupid if you think about it... all life was created and sustained through the great fire of the sun, right? I've always thought that the pagans had it right... :)
The straigh answer to this question is that the Persians (Old Perisa) were following once a prophet named Zoroaster or Zarathustra, who used to give the teachings to worship fire and according to him he was the vicergent of their highiest diety Ahura Mazda (the creator of everything, who were omniscient but not omnipotent.)
Not only did the Parsis worship fire in the past, even today they worship fire.....
thanks
