i think i am supposed to get two numbers that when multiplied together get 16 but when added get 28.......but that isnt possible so this is where i am stuck!

if it was \[6x^4-28x^2+16\] then you could do something more worthwhile than just have it turn into \[2(3x^4-14x+8)\]

yes i do it let x=-059899 then the equation will be zero \[6x^4+3.59934x^3-3.59934x^3+2.15273x^2-2.15273x^2+1.15273x+25.8473x+16\] \[6x^3(x+.59899)-3.5934x^2(x+.59899)+2.15273x(x+.59899)+26.71053(x+.59899\] \[(x+.59899)(6x^3-3.59394x^2+2.15273x+26.71053)\ then any one can solve this baby type of problem got it junkiejim
