Hey, i'm a spanish speaker. It was actually my first language, but I never really learned it well. Do you think you can explain what this poem means? http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicol%C3%A1s_Fern%C3%A1ndez_de_Morat%C3%ADn I know what it means on a literal level, but what was the speaker really trying to say? Thanks!
First of all you need to know that some of his words are from the old spanish, so the verbs are different and there are words that dont exist today. Well, for someone to understand it is same than in english. You dont understant a poem by reading it once. You need to analyse and to read it. And not everyone understand the poems. Each person may understand a different thing. Dont read word by word and definition by definition: Try to read metaphores together, try to feel the emotions, etc.
Sorry i posted it before i wanted. Well... from what i understand: The narrator is an old man, a portuguese. He feels sad because he speaks french wrong and the young men and children speak french correctly
i'm new here .. i don't know which where to go. I wanna learn spanish
