There is enough food at a picnic to feed 20 adults or 32 children. If there are 15 adults at the picnic, how many children can still be fed?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is not enough information given, do the children eat more than the adults? less? the same? take a second look and i think youll find the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

answer choices are 6, 8, 12,16 , 18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is something wrong with your problem,if less than 20 adults show up than more than 32 children can be fed, the options dont give you that choice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says how many children can still be fed meaning instead of 20a or 32c it's asking for 15a and x c which is where im getting confused.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know one thing, if 15 adults show up, the MORE children than 32 can be fed... so none of those answers are right. Make sure the problem is typed correctly and if it is, talk with your teacher...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright :l thanx anyway.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If 20 adults eat a particular amount of food that is the same that 32 kids can eat... then less adults means and increase in children x > 32

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait but its not asking for or, it says if there are 15 adults then in addition to these 15 how many children can be fed.
