what is the slope of the line whose equation is: a) x=-8 b) y=-9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if x = -8... that means no matter what y is... x is always -8.. so the "slope" is straight up and down.. which means it is undefined because rise/run = rise/0

OpenStudy (sriram):

i slope=infinity ii slope=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for y = -9 that means no mater what x is... y is always -9 so it's rise/run or 0/run which is zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

infinity for x and zero for y
