a ball i prjected vertically upwards with a certain initial speed. another ball of the same mass is projected at an angle 60 with the vertical with same initial speed. at hieghest point of the journey.. the ratio of their potential energies will be a-1:1 b-2:1 c-3:2 d-4:1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it is d but how

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cos 60 is half. the K.E has a ratioo of 1:4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as mano said

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 60 deg ball has 1/4 times as much ke as the one tht goes straight up. by CoE it has 1/4 times lesser p.e as well!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

still nt understood plz more clear manoranjan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i get it thnQ guys

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

look.. agar uska vel V hai (vertically) then it goes to a height of v^2 / 2g. cos 60 half hota hai. so ratio of vel 1:4 hoga. thus height ka ratio 1:4 hoga. p.e m.g.h hota hai. so, uska ratio 1:4. get it ?

yup...
