How to I write better code? Please give good suggestions!!!

honestly, practice makes perfect. Comments are very helpful, use them a lot!

Practice does make perfect :) Regarding the actual code however, less is always more. Try to cut down needless code into something more concise that does the same job.

Comment every fifth line or so, dont explain the line though. Tell yourself why it does what it does eg.

//add y-1 to x
x += y-1

that was bad. This is goodL

//expand the rectangle by y-1 ( not y because the wookie is taking up a row)
x += y-1

Also, try to shorten everything you can but beware of lines that do more than 2 things.
