Return address? If it's friendly, the person must know you already... so there's a good chance they have your address. Perhaps.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Personally,I would say none. All have their value. Greeting to greet. Closing to close. Recipient's address so it's destination is known. Return address in case it is undelivered for some reason. That said, I agree with what Arnilley said in that the return address is the element needed least.

It's recipient's address - that's only used in formal letters.
