Factor by grouping: 4a(x-2)+3(2-x)=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x-2)(4a-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you perhaps show me the steps so I can remember how to do these??? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if not, it's okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The steps are the followings: We notice that if we'll factorize (2-x) by -1, we'll get: -(x-2) If you multiply (x-2) by -1, you'll get (2-x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then, you'll get the expression: 4a(x-2)-3(x-2) Now, the terms of the sum share the same factor (x-2) (x-2)(4a-3)
