Question

does any1 knows about a good antiviruses? Want to run it in a old computer.Dunno if I can run last F-secure on it.

The computer has:
30G of disk
512 of memory RAM
Processor 1.6

Any help will be wellcomed. I want to use internet with it, so it must have a firewall too.

Here ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_antivirus_software) are many popular programs, but this is another solution. Run UNIX. Problem solved.

First not that Windows Firewall it sould have "Sygate Personal Firewall".Second it should of a very good brand e.g Quick Heal it should be self updater e.g. "Quick Heal Guardian Antivirus".If u have these 2 things ur pc is safe from viruses.

ClamAV is probably the best GPL(General Public License) antivirus http://www.clamav.net/lang/en/

"Avast" certainly good, but not open source.

Kaspersky, Norton (people tend to complain a lot about this one though), or Avast (free).

Avast is reliable and will run on a pc even with minimal performance capabilities

I tried avast before and was like not having antivirus. Kaspersky is a pain in the neck (it really is). Norton needs a lot of resources (I tried it once). Buying a mac is not a good idea (I gave you a medal anyway) remember recycling is important . ClamAV looks neophyte jaja. Im trying to install linux on it, but somehow it get stucked.

My friend gave this computer to me as a gift so im trying to fix it and use it.
