\[\sqrt{5x+6}=15\] please help solve!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1) square 2) subtract 6 3) divide by 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[5x+6=225\] \[5x=219\] \[x=219/5\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see where you got 219 but it says incorrect for the answer. When I did the steps Satellite 73 said I got 219 as well. Maybe I am missing something?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is not 219 it is \[\frac{219}{5}\] that is why it said "incorrect"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know. I entered 219/5 It still said incorrect.
