Please! check my answer, TY A die is rolled. Find each probability. 1. P(at least 5)=5,6 = (1/6)+(1/6)=2/6=1/3 ? 2. P(even or prime) =P(2 or3 , 4 or 5, 5 or 6 ) =(1/6)+(1/6)+(1/6)+(1/6)+(1/6)=(5/6) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. Correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. is correct:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not sure what question 2 is asking.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If it's asking for probability that you're going to roll a prime or even number, then yeah I guess it's 5/6. Because 1 is the only one that doesn't fit those criteria (1 is not prime!)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in 2. prime 2,3,5 and even are 2,4,6 so common number are 2,3,4,5,6 so P(even or prime)= 5/6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

evn + prime = 5/6 than my answer is correct ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the question roll a die or tos a coin, some time: (1/6)*(1/6).... some time ( 1/6)+(1/6)... I'm confusing how I know add or time?

OpenStudy (zarkon):

independent and 'and' you multiply Mutually exclusive and 'or' you add
