So y=5 will be a horizontal line and x=2 will be a vertical line. In order for an equation to be a function, it needs to pass the vertical line test, which is something like you can draw a straight vertical line anywhere on the graph and the graph will not touch the one vertical line two or more times. y=5 is a function because you can draw a vertical line through the graph and it will not touch any point on the vertical more than once. x=2 is not a function because it will touch the vertical line infinitely many times since they both are vertical lines.
